A beautiful spot to relax over lunch. The scones are fresh and delicious. The home made jams are all really tasty and unique. The toasted sandwiches, in particular the ham and cheese are incredible! A great find when passing through Bruthen.

Wow!! Passing through Bruthen on Australia Day public holidays (27th 2025). We had 3 scones with home made jams, ice coffee(coffee over icecream YUM!!!) ham and cheese toastie. And the best gluten free cake I have ever had (iv eaten ALOT of cake!!). The service was personal and amazing, someone who clearly cares about what they are doing. It shows through in every part of our experience here. I will divert my trip from Melbourne to Raymond Island to enjoy the food and real chai tea again. Thanks so much. We will be back again.

My kids want to make the trip each time we visit the area and I’m never disappointed. The scones are consistently good and jams are sublime. The toasted sandwiches are always packed full of tasty goodness. Will be back again in a couple of months.

Bruthen Tearooms are a lovely stop as you pass through Bruthen. The lady who runs the shop is friendly and makes some of the tastiest toasties going. My Reuben sandwich was packed full of flavour from the homemade sauerkraut and Russian sauce. The owner also makes many award winning jams. We tried a couple on some scones and they were delicious. Do keep in mind that the shop only opens on weekends and that there is no eftpos. It is a very old-school place so expect to wait times to be slow as you enjoy the beautiful building and surrounds.

I would detour any roadtrip through Eastern Victoria through Bruthen just to get a taste of their mouthwatering jams, marmalades, chutneys, slaws, soups & sandwiches. Everything has a homemade (with love) taste. Lots of attention to detail and passion goes into the food and the very cute/cozy setting. An absolute gem. 10 out of 5 stars! Can I bathe in their cream???
